Description
Anil Kumar, a flying officer and former MiG-21 pilot in the Indian Air Force, tells his story in Born to Fly. When he was only 24 years old, a motorcycle accident left him paralysed from the neck down. He was nearly rendered vegetative as a result of the accident, which forced him to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. Anil, who was continuously struggling with the desire to give up, ultimately made the choice to combat his quadriplegia. He gathered the pieces of what was left of his life and created for himself a fulfilling second existence. He decided to pursue a career as a prolific writer and media pundit by channelling his pent-up energies and his ever-expanding brains. His first essay was written by mouth and was seated in a chair.
