My livelihood has revolved around diamonds, from cutting rough diamonds to trading them as gems. I have thought of diamonds as God in physical form - pure, flawless, transparent and eternal. From the depths of the abyss to the formation of the rough, sparkling diamonds adorn crowns and jewellery and are as unchangeable as the soul. They are untouched by any human action. In my life I have gambled on chance and circumstances have favoured me. Many things have happened naturally according to my plan, and some have been decided by destiny. Had I been different, many things would have been different. However, it seemed predestined. I have no opinion of my own about life and myself. Yes, I am convinced that life was living through me more than I was living it. There is ambiguity in the human mind, but the nature of God is clear. I kept on fulfilling small responsibilities that came my way and God never disappointed me 'I am nothing, but I can do anything'.
